FPWC > SunChild Festival

"SunChild" Festival

         The “Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets in the Republic of Armenia” (FPWC) with the financial support of VivaCell-MTS company organized and implemented SunChild First Regional Environmental Festival from 24-28th of October 2007. The program of the festival included:

       • Film screenings of regional competitive, international non-competitive and children  programs

       • Workshops with the participation of international experts.

       • Concerts

       • Photo exhibitions

       • GarbageArt exhibition

 

The positive reaction created by SunChild in the international nature-protective field was  really  unsurpassed and unexpected  taking into account that the festival was held at the first time. The best proof of that fact were the many applications for the event from various countries, and partnership offers  received from a number of international organizations.

 

  Is is planned to hold the festival every two years .The Second SunChild International Environmental Festival will take place in April 2009. It will be presented in completely new and supplemented format, enlarged scopes, with new creative approaches  that were developed during the exchange of experience with many local and international partners.

 

   The final aim of the festival organizers  is to establish a unique environmental and -cultural platform  in the region that will become a meeting place for representatives  from  Southcaucasian and international organizations who are active in environment, filmmaking and art, as well as individuals who are interested in their surrounding world. Many environmental issues will be discussed and various alternative tools for the solution of ecological problems will be projected during SunChild Festival. Later the best ones will be implemented using mutual effort and interregional as well as international close partnership.
