Brown bear dream

April of this year was full of fun & joy for the schoolchildren & eco-club kids from Chambarak, Ttudjur, Khndzorut & Agarakadzor villages; they were invited to take part in interactive & educational performance about the “Brown Bear’s Dream” screened by The Theatre for Changes
The main message of the performance was to raise the issue of keeping wild animals, in particular bears in captivity, reveal the bond in the human – wildlife chain, explain the importance of preserving the wildlife, as well as discuss the existing legislation and find solutions to the problem existing in the country
More than 500 children participated in interactive performances from RA Gegharkunik & Vayots Dzor regions. Around 100 children come from current 4 ecological clubs established in the communities, where they learn the basics of ecology & biology, learn about the importance of preserving the biodiversity and take part in awareness raising sessions
The main objective of eco – clubs is to provide kids from vulnerable communities with ecological education, raise the new generation of aware & strong children advocating for wildlife preservation & nature protection by involving them into direct work aimed at protecting the nature
The project is implemented within the framework of “EU for Tourism: Community-Based Rural Tourism and Cultural Events in Gegharkunik and Vayots Dzor Marzes” project, funded by EU and jointly with World Vision Armenia
