Spring 2025 Tree Planting Nears Completion with Long-Term Environmental Impact

Published on 02/06/2025

FPWC’s 2025 spring reforestation campaign is nearing its final phase, closing a season of ambitious and impactful ecological restoration across Armenia’s Vayots Dzor Province.

Over the past months, tens of thousands of trees have been planted in some of the region’s most ecologically significant areas—including Vardahovit, Goghtanik, and Karaglukh communities. These sites were carefully selected for their critical role in regional biodiversity and environmental resilience.

Looking Ahead: Planting 200,000 Trees by the End of 2025
This year’s success is just the beginning. FPWC is committed to scaling up its efforts to plant over 200,000 trees by the end of 2025. This ambitious target reflects both the urgency of climate action and the power of long-term environmental stewardship.

Our Approach to Reforestation
What sets FPWC’s reforestation efforts apart is a deep commitment to ecological integrity and scientific best practices. We focus on:

  • Scientifically grounded planting based on the soil and climate conditions of each site

  • Selection of native species to ensure ecosystem compatibility and long-term sustainability

  • Use of wild seeds to cultivate resilient, fruit-bearing trees adapted to their natural environments

  • Ongoing care and monitoring to support the healthy growth of each planted tree

A Greener, More Sustainable Future—One Tree at a Time
This campaign is made possible thanks to the support of our partners, donors, and communities. Every tree planted contributes to cleaner air, healthier ecosystems, and a more sustainable Armenia.
