Our WORK

Working at the crossroads of wildlife protection, environmental education, and sustainable development we are engaging rural populations in the sustainable development of their communities. We advocate for mutual respect between human beings, natural wealth, and cultural heritage, because we believe these are indispensable conditions for positive progress in Armenia.

Biodiversity Conservation

We use cutting-edge technology to tackle the most urgent environmental problems. The key areas of activity of the FPWC are protection and conservation of the Armenia’s unique natural and cultural heritage.

Sustainable Community Development

We work closely with communities by creating of substantial infrastructures aznd developing (self) employment opportunities․ We believe in big ideas, long-term results, and innovative solutions.

Environmental Education and Behavior Change

FPWC established the SunChild Eco-club Network nationwide structure providing environmental education for children and youth mostly located in remote rural communities. Since 2006 around 2000 youths have taken environmental education courses.

Ecotourism

The FPWC works with rural Armenians, students and policy makers to build respectful relationships between people, nature and cultural heritage. SunChild EcoTours includes tourists in our movement, creates economic opportunities for rural Armenians, and builds a fair and sustainable tourism niche in Armenia.
